In July 2022, I was happy to make the longlist of the Bath Short Story Award. I didn't get any further - but hey ho, that's the way it is sometimes (or most of the time!). This one has been through a lot of drafts, and I'm still not sure it's quite there. One to park and revisit.

In April 2022, I found out that I was on the shortlist of six for the £10,000 Manchester Fiction Prize: the biggest prize in the UK for an unpublished short-story. The prize-giving ceremony was held on 26 May, when the amazing Leone Ross was crowned the winner. I had a wonderful night. My story - The Firm - as well as the rest of the shortlist can be read at this link.

In February 2022, I was shortlisted for the Bath Flash Fiction Award. My story - Waiting to Start - will be published by Adhoc Fiction in the annual anthology in December 2022.

In November 2021, my short-story - The Boy Who Swallowed a Diamond - was published in Issue 16 of Confingo Magazine. This was a real privilege, and the story is one of my favourites. The print copies are sold out, but a digital download can be purchased at this link.

In Autumn 2021, my flash - Day One of an Adoption Preparation Course - was published in Issue 33 of Popshot Quarterly. It can be purchased at this link. The story was originally published by Spelk and can be read for free online.

In June 2021, my short-story - La Terre Promise - was shortlisted in the Leicester Writes Short Story Prize. It was published in an anthology, which can be purchased at this link.

In October 2020, my flash - One Day It Will All Bubble Over - was shortlisted in the Bath Flash Fiction Award and published in the anthology Restore to Factory Settings. It can be purchased at this link.

In August 2020, a short-story - Teddy - was shortlisted and highly commended in the Cambridge Short Story Prize. I am really proud of this story! It is available to read for free online.

In 2019, a flash - Confectionery Cacophony - was longlisted in the Reflex Fiction flash fiction competition. Available to read for free online, it was included in the anthology A Girl's Guide to Fly Fishing, which can be purchased at this link.
